Christy Merriken

Owner + Instructor


Christy began her fitness career as a personal trainer at the age of 19. She was a competitive soccer player and cheerleader in high school. Although Christy had a strong athletic background, she really fell in love with fitness during college when she started taking weight lifting seriously. From that young age, she knew she wanted a career in fitness so she could help others reach their goals. She was so motivated by fitness and exercise that she decided to pursue a degree in kinesiology. Christy has trained clients in multiple gyms over the past 3 years, and has also taught group classes and various boot camps. She holds 3 different training certifications, but truly believes that becoming a better fitness professional comes from experience. Christy loves interacting with all different clients from young children, to middle aged parents, to injured athletes. She loves teaching group classes outdoors, and her favorite thing about training is seeing a clients face when they have reached their goal. Some of her favorite activities are reading, running, weight lifting and hanging out outdoors.


Christy graduated in 2016 from San Diego State University with her degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness. Additionally, she is NESTA and NASM personal training certified, TRX certified, and AED/CPR certified.


Jessica Dolliver

Owner + Trainer


In July 2015, Jessica took over ownership at BeFitLifestyle a long time, neighborhood fitness studio in Mission Hills. With the mission of helping people develop a happy and healthy lifestyle she grew the business and decided to team up with another fitness force in the hood, Mission Fit Camp. Before moving to San Diego in 2012, Jessica was personal training part time and coaching lacrosse. She started as an adaptive physical education assistant at a school for children with developmental disabilities before moving into coaching lacrosse. In 2010, she graduated as a certified personal trainer from the National Personal Training Institute and has been helping her clients achieve their fitness goals ever since. In addition to personal training and coaching, Jessica enjoys competing in Triathlons and volunteering at a variety of local nonprofit organizations. Michael Gentile



Michael Gentile is a San Diego native and a certified trainer through NCSF (the National Counsel on Strength and Fitness). His interest in physical culture has allowed him to develop an extensive knowledge and skill set for all things fitness. Michael's background is in martial arts with a focus on strength training. He aims to blur the lines between strength, balance, and mobility. His philosophy is based in efficient whole body movements that translate to strong and functional movement patterns. He often incorporates kettle bells, barbells, plyometrics, and rehabilitation exercises during his training sessions. Michael is able to creatively blend various exercises with traditional strength training methods to develop an overall effective program. With the same focused energy Michael uses to conduct his own workouts, he also uses to educate and train his clients. Eager to help anyone ready to transform themselves, whether completely new to the fitness scene or a veteran of the game, Michael believes he can help transform his clients into the best versions of themselves.


Stephanie Lavender

Yoga Instructor


Stephanie has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has been studying under Carolyn’s guidance since 2008. Stephanie is a CIYT (1000) and has her Introductory II certification, She is graduate  of Carolyn’s teacher training program, and continues to feel inspired by the dynamic practice. Stephanie, her husband Suneel, and their daughter traveled to Pune to study at Mr. Iyengar’s home institute in 2010. They continue to practice "family style" yoga at home together. Since becoming a mother, Stephanie's home practice deepened, and it continues to inspire her teaching.Stephanie teaches students how to practice yoga and how to receive the many benefits that Iyengar yoga provides.

Mission: FIT is a community fitness studio located in Mission Hills, San Diego. We offer fitness boot camp classes, personal training, specialty wellness workshops and community events. Our trainers work closely with you to help you achieve you fitness and health goals.
