In July 2015, Jessica took over ownership at BeFitLifestyle a long time, neighborhood fitness studio in Mission Hills. With the mission of helping people develop a happy and healthy lifestyle she grew the business and decided to team up with another fitness force in the hood, Mission Fit Camp. Before moving to San Diego in 2012, Jessica was personal training part time and coaching lacrosse. She started as an adaptive physical education assistant at a school for children with developmental disabilities before moving into coaching lacrosse. In 2010, she graduated as a certified personal trainer from the National Personal Training Institute and has been helping her clients achieve their fitness goals ever since. In addition to personal training and coaching, Jessica enjoys competing in Triathlons and volunteering at a variety of local nonprofit organizations. Christy began her fitness career as a personal trainer at the age of 19. She was a competitive soccer player and cheerleader in high school. Although Christy had a strong athletic background, she really fell in love with fitness during college when she started taking weight lifting seriously. From that young age, she knew she wanted a career in fitness so she could help others reach their goals. She was so motivated by fitness and exercise that she decided to pursue a degree in kinesiology. Christy has trained clients in multiple gyms over the past 3 years, and has also taught group classes and various boot camps. She holds 3 different training certifications, but truly believes that becoming a better fitness professional comes from experience. Christy loves interacting with all different clients from young children, to middle aged parents, to injured athletes. She loves teaching group classes outdoors, and her favorite thing about training is seeing a clients face when they have reached their goal. Some of her favorite activities are reading, running, weight lifting and hanging out outdoors.
Christy graduated in 2016 from San Diego State University with her degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness. Additionally, she is NESTA and NASM personal training certified, TRX certified, and AED/CPR certified.
Annalise is currently studying Kinesiology with a goal to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from SDDU. She is excited to be a certified Group Exercise Instructor with the American Council on Exercise. Annalise grew up in San Francisco dancing, playing competitive lacrosse, and doing yoga. After many injuries she found the practice of Pilates, yoga, and strength training and the emphasis on proper form and breathing to be incredibly rehabilitative. Throughout her fitness journey she has learned the importance of being active, eating well, taking care of your mind. She hopes to inspire the community to a path of wellness and for everyone to have a fun, challenging and effective workout that leaves you coming back for more!
Donald Wang believes that the key to health and longevity is to get enough sleep, eat moderately clean, and to keep active and keep moving. It can be as simple as enjoying a brisk walk a couple times a week to some heart healthy box jumps and burpees. He grew up with an athletic background, playing basketball, soccer, running cross country, track & field, and is currently a competitor in weightlifting. Donald attended San Diego State University and received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2016. During his time in San Diego, he received certifications through National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, and USA Weightlifting as an Advanced Sports Performance Coach. His passion to inspire and empower others led him to become a coach in the sport of weightlifting at Convoy Strength, as well as a group fitness instructor for Mission: FIT. Donald is extremely excited to get started with y'all, and is ready to get stronger together!
Charles fell in love with exercise at the age 14 while training for Westmont High School’s foot and basketball programs. Weight training, speed and agility training became a significant part of Charles’ routine. When he started researching more into the aspects of fitness, he caught the attention of professional body builders and personal trainers who assisted in his training educational experience. During this time Charles began combining his passion for fitness with his love of helping others by helping to train his teammates and classmates.
Samantha (Sam) commonly refers to herself as a reformed couch potato. As a recovering East Coaster she credits health and fitness as huge factors in restoring focus and motivation into all aspects of her life. Sam comes from a background in 1-on-1 personal training, by having secured her certified personal trainer license through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has enjoyed her transition into group fitness and has also obtained her Crossfit Level 1 Certificate and USAW level 1 in the process. Sam prides herself in taking a non-judgmental approach to fitness and hopes to inspire her clients and members to use fitness as a concept for personal growth while developing habits that can lead to an attainable and sustainable lifestyle. For the everyday exerciser fitness should be fun, Sam embodies this idea by being the best light-hearted genuine goofball that she can be.
A native of Upstate New York, Alyson moved to San Diego in 2011, just 3 months after her first visit. She is a Certified Massage Therapist, she has been practicing for over 10 years. She has a passion for alignment based bodywork and preventative wellness, and enjoys helping people increase self-awareness and feel better. In May 2018 after many years of benefiting from the practice, she completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training locally at MOSAIC Yoga and registered with the Yoga Alliance. Her teaching style is rooted in themes of traditional yoga philosophy and made rich by a natural gift of making others feel at ease and more present in their bodies.
